Wire arc additive manufacturing business AML3D has announced Arc Additive as a new, non-exclusive distributor in the UK and European markets.
AML3D told investors on Monday that its European growth strategy is in alignment with the Scottish-based solutions supplier’s manufacturing expertise and target markets. The deal runs for two years.
The Adelaide-based company announced plans to invest $5 million establishing a base in Europe following a capital raise last year.
“We are seeing the same demand signals in Europe that are driving our phenomenal growth in the US across Defence but also Utilities and Energy,” said CEO Sean Ebert on Monday.
“While much of the excitement around AML3D’s growth has rightly been focussed on the US market we have continued to work on the significant growth opportunities [represented] by the UK, Australian and European markets. This distributor partnership with Arc is a great example of this work.”
Ebert cited a recent alloy testing contract contract with BAE Systems in the UK as “just the beginning”.
AML3D secured a contract in April with BAE valued at $830,000, through which it will source 8.5 tonnes of Nickel Aluminium Bronze alloy wire feedstock as part of a material feasibility program.
